Pastor Staub was saved young, raised in a Christian household, and grew up hearing the old hymns and the plain preaching of the King James Bible. Long before he came to Silvery Lane, he gave himself to the ministry — serving as Youth and Music director in Burleson, Texas, then as Associate Pastor in Warren, Michigan.
In July of 1981 he accepted the call to Silvery Lane Baptist Church, and he has stood behind this pulpit every Sunday since. His ministry has always been the same simple thing: reach Dearborn Heights — and the rest of the world — through soul-winning and discipleship.
Under his leadership, the church has kept a vibrant traditional service, built visitation programs, run bus and van routes, knocked thousands of doors, and stood behind more than forty missionaries on six continents.
